What's New on the 2021 Mazda6?
For the 2021 model year, Mazda has shaken things up with the Mazda6 by introducing the all-new Carbon Edition package. This brooding bundle is based on the Grand Touring Reserve trim and offers a distinct style inside and out, including Polymetal Gray exterior paint. This deep hue is complemented by black sports accents and 19-inch wheels that add to the Carbon Edition's mystery. Other updates for the 2021 Mazda6 include making Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto standard in all trim levels of the compact car, and offering wireless Apple CarPlay in the Touring trim and above. The Mazda 6 is not a new kid on the block anymore. The first version was created in 1979 under a slightly different name, the Mazda 626. Throughout the years, there were five different iterations of the Mazda 626 that improved upon the overall design, the safety features, and the technology in the vehicle. Finally in 2003, the modern version of the Mazda6 was born and marketed towards a different market of customers. They wanted to appeal to the slightly sportier, slightly less utilitarian buyer. They did this by introducing a new aggressive exterior based off of the new Kodo design and the new sophisticated double-wishbone system of suspension in the front of the vehicle. This was reinforced in 2006 when Mazda introduced a thrill-packed version of its midsize sedan, the MazdaSpeed6. It features a turbocharger, a direct injected Skyactiv four-cylinder engine, and all-wheel drive. Over the years, one of the major things that have been built up on the Mazda6 is its immense amount of customization. There are three different major trims to choose from with multiple different variations on each of them depending on how much you are willing to spend.
