2021 Mazda CX-9 Overview
What's New?
The old seven and nine-inch touch screen displays have been replaced with 10.25-inch displays and an updated interface. You can get a new Carbon Edition trim, which is based on the Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring and includes black trim, grille and wheels. You'll also find some improvements to technology on the higher trim levels.
Performance
It's easy to forget that you're not driving a smaller SUV thanks to the spry turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, which generates 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. This allows the Mazda CX-9 to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 7.1 seconds.
Safety Feature
Mazda is no stranger to impressive safety features. The Mazda CX-9 comes standard with Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which watches for cars in your blind spot when you're merging or backing up. Higher trims add more features like Driver Attention Alert and a 360-degree View Monitor.
Technology
The 4.6-inch and available seven-inch LCD Meter Display allows you to see configurable information right on your dashboard. The infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration standard, which is great for listening to your music on the available Bose® audio system.
Design
You could easily mistake the interior of the Mazda CX-9 for that of a luxury SUV, thanks in part to the brushed aluminum accents and high-quality materials used throughout. The Signature trim even uses genuine Santos Rosewood inlays.
